Zeta middle schoolers explore the world beyond the classroom through thoughtfully crafted learning experiences.

There are eight trips every year, including camping and overnight excursions outside NYC. In the city, students may go to a dance performance at The Joyce Theater or do a hands-on service project at Riverside Park Conservancy.
Experiential Learning Trips not only broaden cultural horizons and cultivate teamwork; they also foster deep friendships as students get to know each other outside of the classroom. Students have so much fun on these trips!

In addition to Experiential Learning Trips, every grade goes on an unforgettable Z Journey each year, at no cost to families.
The Leap—From Elementary to Explorer: Students visit a YMCA camp, such as Princeton Blairstown Center, to build their Advisory community. This is an overnight trip at a camping lodge.
The Discovery—Past and Future: Students take a day trip to Philadelphia, exploring the Franklin Institute and the Liberty Bell.
The Ascent—Washington, D.C. Leadership Summit: In the pinnacle year of middle school, students take a two-night overnight trip to Washington, D.C. This Z Journey offers a powerful opportunity to connect their learning to the real-world concepts of democracy, leadership, and civic identity.
